Question 1: |
What brand of food are you currently feeding and is it a puppy or growth formula? |
|

All pregnant and nursing Bitches should be on a quality puppy food (Science Diet, Purina, Iams) as well as all puppies under 1 year of age! for proper development this can save you money on future on vet bills. I feed Purina Pro Plan Puppy food! |

Question 2: |
what vaccinations and worming have the puppies had, when did they receive them and did they receive them from a veterinarian. Has this pup had a complete exam. were the dew claws removed and who removed them? |
|
Reply: |
dew claws should be removed by a vet between 2 to 5 days old. I have seen some bad scaring from home dew claw removals. Puppies should start there vaccinations at 6 weeks of age and be vaccinated every 3 weeks until they are 14 weeks old, for DHLPP they should be wormed at least 2 times 10 days apart. and should have had a complete exam before leaving. Vaccines given by a vet are guaranteed by the manufacture, unlike vaccines you may purchase in a store and give yourself. Prevention is much cheaper than treatment! |

Question 3: |
Do you socialize your pups and if so how do you do that? What is the personality of this pup outgoing, timed, playful, aggressive. |
|
Reply: |
socialization is an important element in this breed of dogs the more people they are around the better the dog will be. but you can not take the pup out until it has completed it’s vaccinations, so you must have several people of different ages play with the pups the more they are handled the better they will be! the more stuff (cats, horses, chickens, goats, sheep, cattle) they are exposed to at a young age the better! this is very important. You do not want a timid pup this is a very bad trait for this breed they tend to be back bitters as adults. |

Question 4: |
Do you have both parents on site and or other offspring? where are your dogs housed? |
|
Reply: |
You can get a better picture of what you will have as an adult if you can see where the pup came from if you don’t like the sire and dame you may not want to buy a pup from them. I try to match the pup and the buyers But the pups always pick there owners around here! It is always best if you can go and pick the pup for yourself this way you can meet the parents and see what type of facility the dogs are housed in. If not I do offer a web cam viewing so you can see the pups interaction with other pups it helps is determine its personality! |
|
Question 5: |
how long have you been breeding this breed of dog? and do you breed other breeds? how may pups have you sold and can I contact other buyers? Do you require a contract for the sale of your pups? |

I only have cattledogs. I feel that they are the best all round breed out there! I have had ACD’S since 1988, I have produced 94 puppies over 10 years and have never had negative feedback from a buyer. I stand behind all of my dogs not for 1 month or 1 year but for life. I believe that you get out what you put in to a dog so I strive to use only the best. I have a list of all of my buyers from the first to the last pup. I do not require a contract for the sale of my pups unless otherwise specified in advance. |
